Early Retired, living initially from savings, how much cash to hold?

Unless IHT is your primary focus I would be using my SIPP to use up my personal allowance. A 20% saving is not to be sniffed at. The rest of my spending would be coming from cash until I had under 1 year of cash remaining (at the required income level). Save as much of the ISAs as possible to top up your DB income in later years. Only once the DBs are in payment do you stop drawing from your SIPP.0
