Morning folks and thanks RUBY for starting us off. I'm sure it wasn't forecast but we appear to have had rain through the night. It's now fairing up and not a bad day promised. Still not much sun but can't have everything!
My Tuesday coffee then lunch day has been brought forward to today as BFF has yet another appointment tomorrow. She had her 3rd chemo on Friday and so far no ill effects other than it makes her feel tired. Now half way through her treatment and is expecting to get a scan appointment soon.
I was pretty slothful over the w/e, too much tennis watching went on! But nothing waits like housework so I will play catch up as and when! The front garden is looking a total mess too with all the beaten down plants and shrubs thanks to the heavy rain. I am trying to avoid looking out at it!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. BELLA I hope you continue to improve. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all,
Have been AWOL due to taking DMum away this weekend with DSis. Nice cottage in Warwickshire with visits to Warwick Castle (rained all day) and Stratford-upon-Avon (mixed weather but mainly dry). Lots of walking and sightseeing. Got DMum to do a few dares - like you do. Food was a mix of eating out and cooking in, so hoping not too much damage done.
Washing to do today as we're away to see DDad this weekend for two weeks. A bit cloudy at the moment so will hopefully get it dried on the line. Dinner is SW sweet chilli chicken.
Will need to read back to catch up, but hope all are doing well.
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all - thanks for starting us off Ruby.Yesterday my afternoon was spent at the theatre watching 'Him & Me' Aton and Giovanni plus a host of young dancers. It was most enjoyable, great dancing and patter. There were lots of high-energy numbers and some wafting around ones. I got talking to two women who travel around the country following Giovanni's shows, that takes some dedication. My drive home was really good, for a lot of it I was alone on the road so could just enjoy it.Today is grey and drizzly so it seems I'll be indoors, mind you I'm rather tired after six hours of driving yesterday so a quiet day is fine.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Monday to all.9

Morning all; nice and sunny here today.
Unexpected change to yesterday as DH said he had a sore throat so did a LFT, which then showed a faint positive line! Although government guidelines have changed I don't feel I should be out and about in case I test positive later in the week so have been cancelling arrangements up until Friday and will see how it goes. We have plenty of food in and are avoiding each other in the house; I've moved into the spare bedroomLeaving food and drink for him outside the bedroom door at the moment and he is mainly staying upstairs. He says it's like a bad cold, with watery eyes, blocked up nose etc so I hope it doesn't get any worse than that.
Seeing as my plans for the week have now changed I'll probably make a cake this morning and do the ironing. Might consider running the hoover round as well lol!
Stay well everyone.7 -
Morning all. Sunny! The wedding at the weekend went well, lovely place, freshly updated and newly built function room. Apparently it was the first one since the lockdowns so we were guinea pigs in essence. They did well I think. Bride was beautiful, it's always a surprise to see someone you know dressed like that, there must be a special powder that gets sprinkled, she was radiant. I cracked onwith the front garden yesterday, laid the weed supressing fabric again and then started the tile laying out. I've done three layers so far, another three on most of it with one area getting up to nine or ten I think as I had a raised bed in the middle so obviosuly the earth stands proud. I also managed to step in cat poo, so that was pretty smelly....Next door has subtlely [not really] indicated he thinks my garden is overgrown, he is a neat freak so I am nodding, smiling and not doing anything about it. He did give us some potatoes and peas though so he can't be too annoyed. Today, more of the same but I will do some Italian first, I have neglected that the last couple of weeks. Only one appointment this week so I am looking forward to doing the garden all week. Excercise! Yeah baby!Gers, six hours! no wonder you were tired! Coxy, glad it went well..Izzy, you could always ask your hairdresser to suggest something. TA, good to hear your friend is havingnot so bad a time with it so far. Nanny, with you on the final, I'd have liked one of the other ones to win, I thought she was a better sewer and her made to measures were more stylish. Nels, glad your haircut was a triumph! Not so much to the walking day though, how annoying. Ruby, I like your butter and parmesan beetroot idea, we used ot have it with cooked onions in oil and vinegar. Actually, you can put oil and vinegar on pretty much any vegetable and it will taste nice [ except avocado obviously] .WL, hope it's a mild one for him. A few people OH works with have been off with it and one phoned him last night to say he wouldn't be in. Their policies changed to let them in work with masks so obviously, that worked...not...ANyway, take care today everyone, welcome tot he second half of the year...which has gone very quick so far!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8

Afternoon everyone
I have an extra day off today as the water has been turned off at school and nursery for some essential work to be done by the water board - they only told school at half past 2 on Friday afternoon!
I have jobs to do in the garden but it is far too windy, so I'll start writing some assessments instead.
I've been into town - posted DDs birthday cards to Germany ( it's not till the end of the month), had a wander round the charity shops but nothing to fit and treated myself to a pasty and a muffin from Greggs for lunch. They've obviously cut down on the amount of corned beef in a pasty! I haven't had one for ages - the raspberry muffin was delicious though.
Eldest DD is on holiday in Croatia for a week - it looks beautiful and she has temperatures in the 30s so she is happy.
Going to get on or I'll not get these done.
Hope everyone has a good day x7 -
Very late to the post today. Busy morning
Washed the new hair this morning and its still short
Got lots of boring bits done this morning during which I spotted the neighbour at the back lopping all their trees so that all the branches fell into my garden.....how rude. Saw a bit of red and went out to have a word. Said he would come round and pick them all up and there's lots but of course he hasn't bothered.
Mums house is now up for sale so fingers crossed for some viewers soon. Going to go over for a few days next week so I can have a bit of focus on how to clear the space. Bringing a few bits back in a taxi really isn't going to get the job done. Need to get some boxes and tape for a start and contact some charities for pick up.
Mum visit tomorrow
Prawn cocktail salad for dinner nice weather so a cold one is the way to go
Hugs to all have a good Monday
