Good morning folks.
I'm up with the birds, the early morning sunshine is already fading but I'm not. Yesterday wasn't too lovely so, once again, the grass hasn't been cut. My day passed gently after I'd been out for the newspaper. Some time was spent deep in the ArtUK website looking at outdoor art, I got really absorbed by it.
Today I'm off to Glasgow, got a few chores to do, including dropping off some bedding to a CS, returning unwanted purchases to JL and delivering supplies to an ill friend. The main reason for my trip is a matinee theatre performance by 'Anton and Giovanni'. 😀 Heaven only knows why, but they are only dancing this one time here, no evening performances at all. It actually suits me as I'll be back in time for bed.
I hope that everyone is doing OK. Happy Sunday to all.

Good morning all. Sunny but cool here today.
Have taken DH his cup of tea in bed but warned him not to linger as we are going out later this morning! We are heading up to the Canal Museum in Northants to watch some dancing and possibly have a pub lunch.
Other than that it will be a quiet day here. Hope it goes well for everyone.8 -
Morning everyone
Yesterday was warm here but too windy to sit outside. I took little one to the library in the morning, which she loves and bought her a skipping rope for 99p - she was so funny playing with it when we got home - jumping about but nowhere near the skipping rope! I did point out she's only 3 to which she retorted I am not I'm 3 and a half! She's a bit obsessed with being bigger just now!
DD came up for tea - I roasted a chicken and we had it with salad, pasta, coleslaw and new potatoes.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads and then I've volunteered to help DD in her garden for a little while. Yesterday afternoon I fell asleep while little one had her nap and it made me feel worse really.
Had a chat with my boss on Friday - I had said I would go back to my full time hours in September, but was worrying whether I'd be ok by then. She wants me to start off just working 2 full days and 2 half days to see how I manage, but will continue to pay me my 'proper' hours - so very kind of her.
I would never imagined when I had Covid in January that I would still be ill 6 months later.
Better move - hope you all have a good day x

Morning all
Lovely bright day here the wm is on and the washing can be hung out it should dry well today. Yesterday we went to the tip and got rid of a load of bits from the shed and then collected the shopping, I then tidied through downstairs while OH took the dog out.
We had a lovely bbq in the evening it was so lovely sitting outside. This evening my mum is coming for dinner we normally have a roast but its too hot so she has said she will treat us all to a chinese which will be lovely but not good for my diet ! back on it tomorrow.
We didnt get round to putting all the bits back in the shed so thats this mornings job, OH is at the boot sale so we will do it once he is back.
Have good days all xxx

Morning everyone,it's a bit dull here.I'm expecting a quiet day today as the town is holding the Iron man uk triathlon today, a lot of the roads are shut, and it ends with the running part ending in front of the town hall. DH knee isn't better enough yet to go & watch, and he also had to stay at home yesterday when we went to watch DGS take part in the iron kids race. Unfortunately we didn't know but he fell and twisted his ankle half way and was carried to a first aid tent by a steward. We all went to the finish line but couldn't see him & it was lucky one of his school friends spotted us and told us. DS jumped over the barrier to get to the tent but his mum had a younger one in a buggy & had to get a steward to open the barrier. He was upset he didnt finish but still got a medal. He's a bit bruised but started walking after DS carried him on his shoulders back to the car park - apart from that we'd all had a lovely morning. We decided on an Italian takeaway last night. I've got some steak out for tonight & the men have a sticky toffee pud.I decided to sort my spice and sauce cupboard when I got back, 1 or 2 casualties OOd ,but it's stuff that is only used now and again so can't be helped.Dp1 sorry you're not right yet- my brother & SIL were in the same situation last year, my DB was off nearly 6 months, he tried to go back after about 4 but couldn't manage. Both ok now though. Take care xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8

Hello all, it was lovely sunshine this morning so I've put a load in the wm, now it's gone cloudy grr!. Yesterday we had light rain off and on in the morning even though it was forecast for all day, so I'm hoping for some drying weather for today.
I didn't do much of anything yesterday but I finally watched the last episode of the Sewing bee. I'd recorded it on Tues/Wed? but on replay I found I'd recorded an hour of Wimbledon instead 🙄. I'm not sure IMO that they picked the right winner though, it seemed to hinge on the last garment and and not an overall "performance".
Today I need to finish the washing and hope I can get it dry it outside, if not it will go on the airer upstairs, I also want to get all the caravan stuff out from it's hidey hole and give it a clean, I'm sure the dishes/pots/pans could do with a wash anyway.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.
Take care all
