What harm could this do?

We are first time buyers looking for a mortgage. Issue we are having is that I have a default on my file which I believe would limit the lenders that we could use.
We did think about my partner applying on her own but would it harm us if she was too apply then find out that the lender would not be willing to give her enough for the house that we're interested in just now?

Honest advice, simply see a broker. I used a broker for first time purchase and they’re the people to ask.0

Would definitely use a broker, they will definitely have helped people in your situation before and will know the best approach to take.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2026 1p challenge #7 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £4520/£60000
