I would like to have a go at drying orange slices etc,and using cinnamon sticks / scented oils to make a nice display
I am sure I read a thread about it but cannot find it now!

I made this a couple of weeks ago and took a pic of it for a friend.
I just dried clove studded orange and aple slices in a really low oven for a few hours and added to my pine cones collected on holiday. Then I used cinnamon essential oil to make it smelly.0 -

yum ! that looks lovely
can you use cheapy oranges eg tesco value?
and roughly how thick are the slices before they go in the oven ?
really want to attempt something like this :
