Cost of living crisis

So, I’ve done a search and no one else seems to have asked this yet.

We received our mortgage offer back in December 2021. We got it through a new build specialist so it doesn’t expire until December 2022. We exchanged back in March, and we’re due to finally complete at the end of this month.

Obviously, the world was a different place when we got the mortgage. I know there’s a chance of final checks before completion. Will they stress test our finances again due to the cost of living crisis?

Unlikely, unless you try to make a major change.

As long as there have been no major changes in your financial circumstances, which you would be obliged to disclose to the lender, you should be fine.

  • Brilliant!  :)

I’m a worrier, so quite pleased to have the worries allayed.
