Comping Blues

I've had a bit of a rubbish year with comping, my (not quite) wins are as follows:

1. Won a £25 voucher from an America blogger for Xbox, she sent it and it didn’t work because it was the wrong region. She apologised but said she would re-draw from the American entries. She then retrospectively changed the competition rules to say USA only. Annoying.
2. Won a Soda Streamer from a mag daily, but it never arrived. I chased and heard nothing back. Then I spotted on here yesterday that someone said make sure you house number is in the address on your account for mag dailies as some have been cut out since they updated. I diligently went through all the sites adding in my house number until I got to the one from the Soda Streamer page and spotted that it wasn’t just my house number missing, it was an address from two years ago. Eek, and totally my own fault. Moral of the story, make sure your details are up to date on the Mag Daily sites. 
3. Two weeks ago I won £25 Uber Eats voucher on the 7up instant win. It said a voucher would be sent within 7 days, I’ve heard nothing. I didn’t take a screen shot either. D’oh.

So it has been a dry year and I realise some of it is my fault. Please send me some comping luck for the rest of the year.

I'm so sorry @chocoholic123 that it sounds like you've not had a great year with wins!

1. I would have thought it was only fair, if it didn't state anywhere the region or country then she should have sent you the value of the prize or you £25 worth of Xbox voucher in the correct region. 

2. This is awful! I don't often enter mag dailies or if I do it is only usually the once. Thanks for the reminder! I saw it briefly when it was posted but then completely forgot to check, I may have entered some mag dailies without checking. I'll make sure to check next time.
Did you try contacting them to see if it was sent out or if there was anything they could do it if it was returned to sender?
No chance your previous place has your address to send anything on or could contact you?
If you are local, you could always turn up and ask or post on the local social media groups?
Just a few ideas.

3. I'm not sure what happened with the Uber Eats voucher, as mine came through 4 days later. 
Did you try contacting them? If it was a winning message, your email should in theory be in their system as a winner.
If you can't get any luck, keep on entering, I think you can only claim a 7up and a £25 voucher once each, but if you aren't in their system as a winner, you may be able to get it again. I don't think it closes until 17/09.

I agree about the xbox voucher but it is a small time blogger not a corporation and in America too, so I think I'm just going to let it go. The people that moved into our old house are not approachable -  I assume if they had a soda streamer delivered they will deny it and be making fizzy drinks all summer. I'm okay never talking to them again though. As for the Uber Eats one I will chase that up, I could do with 1 out of 3 at least. Thank you for the lucky dust - maybe my luck will change now.

Sorry it’s been a rough patch, if it’s any consolation I too have had the same issues.

I have had very poor luck for about three years despite entering just as many if not more comps. I have won three things this year, two have just not arrived. I have chased and chased and chased  but am just being ironed despite being polite. One was from Fix Radio and the other form FSF Fashion wear, a comp run by Snizl ( A dress said to be worth £125).

I stopped doing comps run by bloggers last year as I had so many of them cancelling the prize after I had won for various reasons such as the prize provider didn’t honour the prize, the prize couldn’t be delivered to my area, and there was a mix up over who had won, in end  I just gave up doing that type of comp. Facebook can be a bit hit and miss too , but usually get the prize in the end. I hope your luck changes soon x

I think that not getting a prize no matter how small is worse than not winning one .

Thanks - I was searching for "Uber Eats" so it should have covered it. I will email them tomorrow and see what they say.

My Uber eats voucher took 7 days. I tried to use it yesterday but the place I was ordering food from wouldn't let me use it as payment which was annoying.

When we ordered ours my partner had full payment taken and he was so cross, we thought it was because went over £25,he contacted them and it was sorted he got his money back and they only took the extra payment xxxx
