Hello All, I’m wondering if anyone can help at all?! We started the legal route to evict our tenant late 2019 two years later and numerous delays due to Covid we were successful and we evicted the tenant through the courts, obviously we were grateful to finally be free from the tenant and we have now sold the property. He left owning over £10,000 is there anything whatsoever we can do to peruse the money back? We’re willing to try anything!

You need to take them to court for the money, the small claims limit is £10K, but if they haven't got £10K you won't get anything. Do you know where they now live ?

Not a lot you can do apart from small claims... you probably won't get anything unless they have now bought a property & you can put a charge against it.
The most you can hope for is getting a CCJ against their names which will make further renting difficult0 -
Unfortunately, someone that was evicted due to not paying rent, is very unlikely to have the cash available to them.

It'll cost you £455 to claim a maximum of £10K via the small claims process, with no guarantee of success, other than the defendant getting a CCJ. You'd then need to pay bailiff fees to recover anything.
Only you can decide if this is worth throwing further money at.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
