Self-Build Mortgages to Build Abroad

Is it possible to get a self-build mortgage from a UK-based financial institution to build a property abroad? Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.

    @boogieboa I can't think of any lenders that would lend against the land+property to be built overseas.

    If you own any properties in the UK, your best bet is likely to be doing raising cash against that property and using it to fund your self-build overseas.

    Thanks for your reply. There are international mortgage brokers. However, I don't know if they offer self-build mortgages. I should Google.
