am I entitled to a refund for?

Hi, my son attends weekly swimming lessons paid for monthly, the leisure centre has called 3 lessons but refusing to refund the money or credit the swimming account. Instead they have credited me to spend the money else where in the leisure centre, like in the cafe or on the accessories. I would never spend there and I'm not a member of the gym. I would like the money to go towards my sons lessons, as that's what the money is budgeted for. so every time they cancel a lesson I'm being forced to then spend that money elsewhere. I think this is unfair! its a Birmingham city council leisure centre. 

Does anyone know where I stand with this. thank you.

No, they said it can only be spent in the centre won’t go back in bank or towards next month. I’m going to ring them again today to speak to a manger.
