Drawing down mortgage again after sending back

Hi,

Im probably just being overly paranoid but weve had a nightmare move which is thankfully coming to an end

11 months after getting our offer accepted we have exchanged. However there were 2 chain collapses in that time.

2 months ago we were about to exchange and it was quite a short time between exchange and completion, So our solicitor had to start the draw down process a few days early.
The top of the chain pulled out on the day before exchange which obviously was a right pain. But we had already asked for our mortgage money. When this arrived we had to send it back.

We have now actually exchanged, Although for some reason im paranoid that because we already have drawn down the money and sent it back the bank wont give it to us again. Although theres no evidence to suggest this will be the case, but everything has gone wrong with this move so im quite pessimistic these days!

Do situations like this often occur and is my worry totally unfounded?

Thanks
