Back under my duvet again. After an early bout of heavy rain yesterday turned into a warm, and very blustery day. I got my return sent off and then had a hiccup with collecting my meds. The pharmacy had computer problems (new system installed and not working) in every branch nationally so couldn't dispense. I drove down to Tarbert for them instead. By the time I got home the washing machine had done its job so I could hang out the bedding. Mind you, had to double peg it because of the wind. It looked so lovely, like fabulous white sails on the Onedin Line. 😀Today I'm off down to Glasgow until Tuesday. Tonight I'm going to see Sandi Toksvig in her comedy tour 'Next slide please', I could do with a good belly laugh or two. On Monday I'm meeting up with a friend I haven't seen for over two years and on Tuesday I'm having breakfast with Alan. Plans to see DM's crossword friend have been postponed as he has a very bad cold or flu.Nelski - I hope that you feel much better soon.Happy Sunday to all.12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers - hope you enjoy your trip to Glasgow. It was windy here yesterday, but warmish and showery. It's fine and sunny here now, but with a brisk wind which is definitely cool., might warm up later.I went to Al*i yesterday, and spent the rest of the day pottering round the house.Ds and family coming today, I'm taking Dgs 16 prom trousers up for him. They'll stay for a meal, so I'll do a large chicken with roast veg, that's easy enough.Thinking of our poorly and sad people today - take care folks12

Morning folks and thanks for starting us off GERS. A bright and breezy day forecast for us, but no rain until tomorrow! That sounds like the story for the week ahead.
I was up early this morning so decided to address my hair before the hairdresser comes this week. The skunk look with the white roots has now gone and the colour has been refreshed after getting faded thanks to all my sitting out and reading in the sunshine.
I left a portion of shepherd's pie base out defrosting for my lunch and have just topped it with carrot and swede mash for a change, using the remnants of a swede and a leftover carrot. Waste not want not!
Just had a text from DD interrupting me! Can youngest DGD come up for the day whilst they take "Margot" to Leeds for her Sunday Renaissance tuition. That'll save it from being another boring Sunday. It will probably end up another crafty day. She is the best of the 3 of them with her fingers and loves sewing and knitting. I keep trying her with crochet but she can't grasp it yet, much as she'd love to!.
Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. NELS I hope you are soon feeling better. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone
Had a nice lie in this morning and a chat with DD in Germany, though the sun woke me early.
We had a couple of torrential downpours late afternoon yesterday and loud thunder...saved me watering the pots.
Will go down to mam and dads this morning, other than that I have no plans other than sitting in the sun reading my Sunday Times.
Gers - enjoy your trip to Glasgow.
TA - have fun making things with your granddaughter....far more fun for her spending the day with you.
Scarlet- snap - DD has just texted to ask if I can do some sewing for her. I'm not brilliant but I can take up and mend.
Better get dressed - hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, yesterday's glorious sun turned into lots of thunder, lightening, hail and torrential rain and it seems we may be in for the same today. I'm a bit late because a) I had a lie in and b) I've been watching all the baby birds which have decided to visit our garden this morning. I had a productive day yesterday and all I set out to do was accomplished, even the lounge carpet was cleaned before bedtime and this morning it looks fresher and has it's bounce back under foot. I sorted the freezers as they look like they had been visited by a horde of messy elves but stupidly forget to take something out to defrost for tea today, doh ! Anyway there's plenty in as they are both stuffed so we won't starve.
Today I will clean the kitchen runner while there's some cleaning stuff left in the machine and also finish off making my Compost Heap jelly/jam (Pam Corbin recipe) I enjoyed making that yesterday as it is something for almost nothing and you can't get much more MSE than that, plus we will have the stewed fruit ( sad fruit from the bowl) with ice cream or I can put a crumble topping on it. Then the day is all mine and I might get a new jigsaw down to do.
Have a good Sunday everyone.
Take care and hugs to all.

Hi everyone, We had another busy day yesterday. We took some boxes to L and B's storage unit and brought back a set of drawers L wanted (it will fit on the landing and hopefully take some of her clothes that are floating around. We also went to the tip with a few things. Steve but some baskets in a wardrobe and made up the new shoe storage while I sewed a dress for L. I also washed bedding and towels and got them dry. I'm so much busier now but to be honest I also feel younger for it. We are going across to see C and C and have lunch out with them. They were supposed to be going up to the Yorkshire house for the week (it's Chris' birthday on Tuesday) but Crystal is still in quite a bit of pain still so Steve is going to help Chris with some DIY stuff. Laura and Esben are coming back from Glasto tonight, it sounds like he had a whale of a time, there are lots of children's activities going on. Brian isn't coming back till tomorrow. Nelski, I'm glad you're feeing a bit better. TA enjoy your day with GD. Gers, have fun in Glasgow. Have a good day.10

Morning all been up since 5 as DD2's dog was whinning so let her out and then tried to go back to bed and all she wanted was my dog who is very boring and just likes her daily walk and chill so much barking and snapping to put her in her place . Washing is on the line we are forecast a bright and breezy day . Dinner today roast beef and trimmings i had a large joint to use as i am emptying the freezer so cold tomorrow then will make some shepherds pie with the rest. DH has according to him broken his back i think he has strained it at the allotment yesterday he couldn't sit or lay down properly he is in bed at the moment so DS had to help me walk the dogs earlier when he came home from night shift.
Nels glad you are feeling better
