Good morning, coolish and sunny here.
We had a thunderstorm and heavy rain in the early evening yesterday which freshened things up a bit. I put my houseplants outside before the rain started, it got the dust off the leaves!
We weren't out yesterday, well, apart from DH taking some things over to the caravan.
I was busy cleaning and tidying. We had a quiet evening, neither of my friends could make it.
There's shopping to do today, DS and family are coming over tomorrow so I'll do a bit of prep today.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks

Morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet. My first sight this morning was of a rainbow over the sea, just part of it peeking out from underneath cloud. Such a lovely thing.Despite the bad start yesterday turned into a glorious day. That inspired me to mow the lawn, it only took me 15 minutes, and take the grass to the tip. I do like a neat lawn even if the rest of the garden is on the wild side. Later on I sat under the clematis for an hour enjoying the sunshine whilst listening to an audiobook. My early morning trip to the Royal Mail delivery office was a waste of time, the roads outside and around the DO were closed for roadworks. I'll try again today. The wind is high so I think it's the day to wash the bedding and hang it out. I'm using up bits and pieces from the almost bare fridge again as I'm going away tomorrow until Tuesday so will stock up on the way home.I hope that everyone is doing well, DP1, just rest up and gather your strength. Happy Saturday to all.13

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another lovely start and not a bad forecast for the day, although not quite as warm as it has been. We were robbed of the thunderstorms yesterday, they passed us by. We did get a bit of rain mid afternoon but again not enough to do any good to the gardens.
I had youngest DGD here after school for tea which was nice. I don't see nearly enough of them these days with all their after school activities, dance classes etc. Hopefully the summer holidays will change that, then they will be here eating me out of house and home again!
I don't need a sm delivery this week, just some fruit and fridge stuff so I shall pop down on the first bus to town and do a small restock to keep me going until next w/e. I might try Asda for a change as not been there for ages. I find it a bit big and noisy but I can catch a bus which stops outside so that saves me lugging a heavy bag around. I keep promising myself a dolly trolley and never get on with looking for one.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning All
There's been quite a bit of rain overnight, good for the garden! It was quite windy too, had to pull over the bedroom windows during the night it was so breezy. Nice and sunny now so the washing can go out, should dry quickly as it's still fairly breezy.
There's a bit of shopping to do, visit the allotment and take my phone to see if I can have the screen repaired, I dropped it on the pavement and there are some sharp bits that I've covered with selotape! I'll call at the allotment too, I'm sure there are lots of weeds that need dealing with.
My pamper session was lovely yesterday, I have purple toenails, black lashes (usually they are so fair you can't see them) and very tidy brows (also very fair but were like a burst couch). It was very relaxing, so much so that when I came home I just had a bath and put my PJs on!
Hoping everyone's well, have a good weekend. Take care. XX

The wind is high so I think it's the day to wash the bedding and hang it out.
Got the bed stripped and all in the WM - and rain is sweeping through.
I hope it passes soon, I'll still hang it out and hope it dries before bed time.
Good to hear that you enjoyed your pamper session Camelot, you're very daring with purple toenails.

Morning all and thanks for the thread ScarletR xx
We had rain from about 10pm onwards so no need to water the pots this morning. I did a little weeding yesterday and have 10 bags of garden waste for the tip - not all from yesterday. I've booked a slot for 9am tomorrow. There's also an old floor steamer to go plus some cardboard.
I have been binge watching Sewing Bee whilst DH is away - one person is beginning to annoy me though! Wish I could sew - I have a machine but my expertise is limited to cushion covers!
DS2 has officially finished school, so the end of an era. Will wait to see what happens on result day. DD rang in a panic at 10pm as had forgotten to submit her student finance claim for next year. I've now done my bit but DH is in Italy with sporadic wifi, so hoping he will pick that up today.
FC this morning and I managed another early run. It never shows on the scales but does help to lift my mood and keep the anxiety at bay, so all good.
Love that you're brave enough for someone to touch your feet @camelot1001 - the one time I had a pedicure I nearly kicked the girl off the stool!
Have a good day all and hugs to all the poorlies.

Morning
Sorry for the MIA I've been knocked sideways with a tummy bug for a couple of days. There wasn't time between loo visits to write muchStill hanging around but on its way out now
Weather is beautiful again this morning and a perfect temperature
News on the house front, the neighbour offered but 8K short of asking price. Yes it would save the agents fees but I don't know how much I will get from the agents so I think I need to market it. Every penny counts for mums care fund. They can still buy through the agent so its no loss to them really but I feel I need the confidence of an agent doing most of the leg work. I'll be signing my life away next week.
Quiet day planned today and the way I feel now I probably will skip food until I know it will stay put!
camelot sounds like a lovely pamper.... purple nails ...gorgeous
coxy fingers crossed for FC
Hugs to Ruby xx

Dry and bright here and looks to be a nice day, OH has gone to get the cement for the shed base which we will hopefully get done today, then once its gone off we can get the new shed up.
Hopefully we will be able to bbq tonight if the weather stays good, if not we will cook and eat indoors.
Ocado due this morning and its all present and correct which is fab, I must say its nice not having to go and collect the shopping.

Morning all, we had rain on and off all day yesterday and now the sun is out again, but it is said that some rain will arrive later. Yesterday I made the bread and butter pudding, yum, yum ! and luckily Mr Fix It is not keen on anything eggy so it's all mine ! I managed to get through to the surgery and book a thyroid blood test for the 7th too, they must have a new member of staff as the lady was lovely and had a sense of humour, usually you get someone who is not very helpful and a "jobs worth" 🤨. I sorted out the wardrobes yesterday too and put several thick fleece tops away. I also found a few T. Shirts that I'm not sure will fit now, they were on the tight side when I bought them ( I like loose ones ) so I shall try them on and make a decision whether to keep or put into a cs bag. I also have a short thick woollen winter's coat that's hardly ever been worn ready to go in, so hopefully it can keep someone else warm next winter.
Today I have a long "to do " list to work through starting with planting up some geraniums in containers ( weather permitting) through to cleaning the lounge carpet as it's looking decidedly grubby where we walk through. Tea tonight will be a beef burger in a bun with salad, so an easy tea.
Gers enjoy your away time
Coxy hope your DS2 gets the results he wants/needs after all his hard work.
Camelot glad you enjoyed your pampering.
Nels hope you feel better soon and get the price for your Mum's house that you want/need.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.
