Is it ok to buy a used ps5?

someone said there are problems with them if you buy used

is it better to buy new

There are a few going online very cheap like £120 with games and extras

why so cheap?

that’s cheaper than ps4?

how can it be different from 2nd hand shop to buying from someone who sold to the 2nd hand shop?

There will be problems with some, there will not be with others. If it is anything more than £50 below retail then there is almost certainly an issue. Personally at this stage of the cycle and the fact that there are still supply shortages meaning people are trying to hook in desperate buyers I would be buying one new if I were looking for (another) one.

You have consumer rights against the shop, you do not have consumer rights against someone on eBay, Market Place, some bloke down the pub.

You have consumer rights against the shop, you do not have consumer rights against someone on eBay, Market Place, some bloke down the pub.

EBay are supposed to protect the buywr

I’ve just had a quick browse and can’t see any that cheap (looking specifically at Buy It Now options).  Cheapest one I can see is £350 but is clearly faulty from the description.  

Are you sure you’re not looking at auction ones in progress?  If so, then those will end at a much higher price by the time they finish up.  Most bids are usually in the final hours.

Yes the units of currency are being diluted by having the supply expanded out of thin air

its not the PS5 going up in price it’s the units of currency going down in value so you need more of them
