I'm a student right now in Canada, Lloyds have given me an offer to remortgage my buy to let property from another provider.
I told them I'm on a visa and have to return to the UK when it send in December.
Usually this would mean I can only take an ex pat mortgage but they still gave me an offer saying we can use your UK main residence so it's fine.
I have called them twice and said I live in Canada and will returned when my visa ends and can I still have the offer, they said yes.
However as this normally is an ex pat mortgage situation should I still accept the offer as I don't wish to look like it's fraud, however I have told them my address twice (and recorded the call) Would i still be ok to accept the offer? My mortgage advisor thinks its ok since they have issued it and i've told them I don't return until december. I just didn't want to get done for anything.
