Hi my husband is a football coach and received a trophy cup with no 1 coach and his name engraved on it. He was very chuffed and it is on display in the living room. It usually the kids that get the trophys so he liked it even more!

    Hope this helps a little.

I would like to say what a fantastic thought. My hubby is a footie coach and runs 2 teams. I must admit that this year we have been blessed with many lovely parents, but last year it took every ounce of strength for my hubby to keep going. even though he gives up his entire weekend for free + all the paperwork involved and meetings during the week. some parents do not realise and he has been met with some amazingly abusive comments.
so thank you for proving that some parents appreciate what a football coach does.

  • Maybe something like a whistle with an engraving!

    Ermmm.

Wow it's quite tricky actually! :rotfl:
  • my son plays in an under 8s team, and my daughter in an under 11s team ( all girls)

this year i took the roll of getting the gift for my daughters team, we done a collection, then instead of getting more engraved items and throphies ( we usually leave this till the end of season presentation)

i just asked his wife what he would like and she let me know, so i got what she said.

this proved a big hit, his wife was chuffed we asked first and he was chuffed to get stuff he was not expecting.

if you have not done a collection perhaps just get him a small thing - but if you know his wife even better x x
the more people i meet!! the more i like my dog !!;)

My hubby is a big chelsea fan, and I have just found out that his 2 teams have clubbed together for him to go on a tour of stamford bridge with 2 chelsea legends one of whom is his all time favourite player. I know my hubby will be over the moon with this and after such a rotten year last year, I know it will restore his faith.

Hi Loopylass, not sure where they got the trophy from but have seen them at a shop they do engraving! I would use a search engine to find a shop that sells trophys near you.

    Hope you get it sorted.
