Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, some LO's. Later finish at work for me today, menfolk already sorted for food, I'll have something quick when I get in.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Lovely bright sunny morning here, looking forward to a beautiful day. Washing just about to finish, will hang it out before I go to work. Last full week for us, expecting it to be very busy.
My weekend was very busy, DS1 and partner and DD, partner and the little one for dinner on Friday, they had organised it but forgotten to tell me so a hasty risotto made and enjoyed, I've been eating the leftovers over the weekend. The little one stayed here Friday and Saturday nights as DD and partner were at a wedding in St Andrews. I took the little one for a fun run on Saturday morning which she really enjoyed, she got a t shirt and a 'necklace' (medal) but most importantly a bottle of water and banana, easily pleased!
We visited the allotment then went swimming, thankfully some friends called in around 6 so she was happy playing for an hour but asked to go to bed at 7. Managed to get to 7.30 before I took her up, she's terrible at going to sleep but it didn't take too long. She (and I) were quite tired yesterday, Mum and Dad arrived about 12 to take her home.
I was really good and did all the housework after they had left so everything is clean and tidy for the week ahead, I really need to finish the decking so will get on with that once I get home.
Sorry to hear you've lost your cat dp1.
Happy Birthday to your DDad Nanny.
Hope you've made a good recovery Maddie, enjoy your holiday.
Hope everyone's well, happy Monday, take care. XX9 -
Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc x
I didn't get on here yesterday. Had a late night Saturday (bed at 3am) following an open air gig. The weather was cold and windy and just as we got in the car to come home at 10pm we had a storm of biblical proportions. Took an hour to get out of the venue and then diversions on the way home in the awful weather, meant we got home just after midnight. Stayed up talking to BFF and her DH until 3am!
Went to outlaws yesterday for the first time this year. I survived but can think of other places I'd rather have been (like my bed!). WFH today, DH is in London. Another bright day here so will wash the bedding from Saturday. DS2 has a driving lesson - he has been learning for over a year but couldn't get a test for love nor money, now booked for August. Food shop is coming at 7pm and dinner will be bolognaise bake.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to our poorlies.

Morning folks. What a busy weekend you both had Coxy and Camelot - sounds exhausting but good.My day without plans turned into me going down to Glasgow to Buchanan Galleries. I was there at 10.00a.m. and out again by 11.00a.m., home by 2.00p.m. I wanted some new shoes from Ecco and a couple of tops from JL. Some dithering took place at both shops but not too much. The cotton sweatshirts from JL are lovely and the shoes from Ecco so comfortable. I'm planning for my Oz trip already so bought a pair of 'offroad' sandals, my first ever! Once I was back home I retired into sloth mode, alternating between bird watching and TV watching. The weather as kind so I was also out in the garden a lot. I had done a quick wash before I left which was dry when I returned.Today is forecasted to be dry in the morning and wet in the afternoon and evening. I've got my weekly banking to do, meds to order and some emails to write - nothing strenuous or taxing. I've been doing a series of arm toning exercises to get rid of at least some of my bingo wings, short sharp exercises which are easy but effective, I think I overdid them last night as my arms are a bit achy this morning. All good stuff!I hope that everyone is doing at least OK and wish you all a Happy Monday. Here's a pic of my adult and baby woodpeckers on the feeder.

Morning everyone
Supposed to be a lovely sunny day here today - feels warm already.
I need to go into town this morning to collect a prescription and then I have work at lunchtime. I'll see how I get on today as I keep being dizzy and my head is really fuzzy. The doctor who is dealing with my Long Covid isn't at the surgery till Wednesday so I can get in touch with her then if it's still a problem.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday just pottering about, doing some jobs in the garden - it's looking lovely this year, which I didn't expect after most of the plants got so squashed by the fence when it blew down.
Camelot - I bet your were shattered when little one left - it's so lovely to spend time with them but exhausting.
Izzyy - you too after all your visitors.
better go the bus is in 10 minutes
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
At last I feel close to normal after that horrible bug, it wasn't violent but lingering making even thinking about food difficult. Brian got back from Wales after midnight and has already left for work. Laura is also going to London for a clinic day rescheduled from tomorrow because of the train strike so we will be on toddler watch for the day.
I'm hoping to do some sewing, or at least sewing prep but that will depend on Esben's nap. Steve has his vaccine booster this morning, followed by a dentist check up. I was abit afraid the bug we all had was covid but Steve did two tests, both negative so it seems not.
It sounds as if you were very busy Camelot and Izzy but such fun. Izzy, I hope the fitflops help.
Have a good day everyone.

I do this one (apart from the one on the ground), she does talk a lot but now that I know the routine I mute the video. I like her stuff as no equipment is needed for any of her exercises. I also do some leg stuff from her.

Morning all, thanks nmlc- have a good day .It's lovely & sunny this morning, though not that warm atm. We had a lovely tea out yesterday for Fathers Day, the DGC were in high spirits and kept us entertained throughout. We went to a place near DS2's, he takes the children there for tea now & again & DGS says they have the best chicken nuggets in the world. They are home made & I've certainly never seen him eat so much as he is a finicky eater normally. DS1 drove us there so DH could have a beer. We sat out when we got back, enjoying the sunshine. Another physio appt this afternoon for DH so I'll go to an Aldi nearby again, & get something for tea.I'll take the opportunity to get the dog blankets washed and on the line while it's nice. Before we went out I made some soft rolls at DS request as he thought he was out for the day today- did the dough in the bm up until the 1st proof, then shaped and left in the oven when we went out and then 15 mins to cook in the oven when we got back. The last loaf I made was a bit heavy so I chucked the yeast & opened a new tin, what a difference! They were massive
, soon get eaten though in this house, sadly not by me on my keto diet- it was torture smelling them bake! I'm still hunting for a keto loaf recipe that I really enjoy.
Lovely woodpeckers Gers , love watching the birds in our back.Have a good day all xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
Morning all. Good weekend was had, pottery was fun, I threw a perfect [to me] pot first go and now I want to do it again. Honestly, it was so relaxing, concentrating on doing it meant I wasn't aware it was cold, or I was achey, or anything. The teacher was also brilliant, and really ecouraging of everyone and what they made [Bristol Pottery Workshops if anyone fancies a go] The magic show was also good, the bride to be showed an unexpected performance aptitude because she got called on stage
I think she should consider a career change. Got home about nine thirty which was a lot earlier than those who caught the train, which was late...Finished the jacket yesterday, added a few embellishments, she's coming today for a fitting and I have plans to shorten a kimono next, followed by a making a top. I might go fabric shopping tomorrow and definitely going to a reclamation year later in the week to look for something to edge the front garden. Stone moving on the cards today. OH and I chatted about the back of the garden and I think we've decided to build the rocket mass heater down there. Looking forward to that. Still haven't done the paperwork so I'm definitely [ maybe, possibly] doing it this week....
Maddie, so sorry for your loss...Izzy, try sports massage, personally, it was the only thing that really helped to improve it [ I still wear fitflops now because they're so comfortable] Nice to see good wekends were had in the main, and hoping the lingering maladies go away soon....Take care of yourselves....
