@staceyd1991 Quick thoughts -
- technically, there's no reason you would not get a mortgage based off of the benefits income with the right lender.
- what components will be included/excluded will depend on the specifics and differ across lenders as there will be different ways of assessing what is/isn't sustainable (as per the specific lender)
- help to buy is closing in March 2023 but you may still be able to access other schemes like First Homes, Deposit Unlock, etc. all of which aim to make it easier to buy a property.
- the issue with using schemes like is that this introduces further limitations on criteria, lenders, etc. so narrows an already thin pool of lenders if that makes sense
