Mortgage Deeds (not signed but remortgage completed)

Hello, new here so please be kind
The situation relates to two recent buy to let remortgages, the remortgages have both completed ie they're now both with the new lender and the old lender has closed the accounts but the mortgage deeds were never signed.
The solicitor is now asking me some weeks later to sign one of the deeds but hasn't asked about the mortgage deed for the other property.
So what's the position? and what would happen if I don't sign the mortgage deed that I'm being asked to given the remortgage/s has already completed.
Thanks for reading
