I have 2 parts to my mortgage with Barclays. The bulk of the mortgage still has 4.5 years left fixed at 1.6% but a portion of my mortgage has been on a lifetime tracker of 0.49% above the base which has served me well over the last 15 years. No worries.
I am similar and for us wanting to move for the right house makes it a tad harder.

Remember you got until next Bank of England monetary policy committee to go fix if your want to lock in current rates.

Looking online the next meeting is 4 Aug. But worth you checking to be sure I have found the correct dates.
