Remortgage early?

Has anyone ever heard of Barclays allowing you to remortgage within a fix without having to pay early repayment?
Im 2 and a bit years into a 3 year fix but will be a full time student at the 3 year point. Scared I will go onto the SVR and see my payments go up £400 which I can’t afford and not be able to fix because I am a student

They won’t let you off the ERC.I believe Barclays will let you switch product online in which case there would be no affordability checks (as long as you don’t borrow more).You could see the earliest Barclays will let you lock in a rate to protect against further rate rises.0
