I've just spent 20 minutes talking to someone in another country who's never heard of Moneysavingexpert that I'll never get back, trying to sort out why codes sent in Martin's weekly email never work for me?

Can someone possibly tell me what the problem is?  When I add the item to my basket and then add the code at the checkout, it says something like 'you cannot use this code until the minimum number of items has been added to your basket.'  But this request isn't necessary, there isn't a minimum number of items needed in the basket, you just need to make sure your order comes to over £25.

I've been trying for months and never manage to get it to accept the voucher code   :(  I'd be really grateful if someone could point out what they think the problem is?

Many thanks in advance.

    Have you asked Sainsbury's?

Edit - just reread the first line and it sounds like you have contacted them?

I think your problem is mentioning money saving expert.

You just need to ask them I tried to use voucher code XYZABC and I got the error "you cannot use this code until the minimum number of items has been added to your basket", how do I make these vouchers work.

Do you have a link to the offer in the email that you are referring to (I've had a quick look but can't find it).
If it's a 'get £x off when you spend £25' type code, then perhaps the item you are trying to put there is excluded from the offer (there are some common exclusions such as alcohol, stamps, gift cards etc)
What sort of products have you tried to buy using it ?
