Good Afternoon, hope everyone is all safe and well!
Just a quick post to ask a general question out of curiosity.
Why does council tax disregard a friend who is a carer, as to suppose to a partner who is a carer?

I would suppose because a partner would be living in the property whether they were a carer or not, whereas a friend would only be living there if they were a carer. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1

Yes absolutely, this is what I assumed which essentially makes sense however, in a modern day world sometimes a partner lives seperately and moves in to look after a partner. It's quite confusing. Thanks so much for your reply have a wonderful day!lincroft1710 said:I would suppose because a partner would be living in the property whether they were a carer or not, whereas a friend would only be living there if they were a carer.
