P60 and self assessment tax return

I am wrong in thinking that the self assessment return will have the P60 information pre-populated or do I have to type this in again?

It is for me as I left work early and getting the company pension and is prepopulated.
I don't think it was when I worked but this could have changed.

It will be self evident, but if it is prepopulated, you should check the figures against your P60 etc anyway.

Thanks Jeremy - unfortunately it was a previous job and they haven't sent me a P60 yet (chased today) I am due a large refund so I didn't want to keep holding on.

Yes just clicked - the information will be on my P45 not on a P60 - I can now fill in the tax return which I could have done months ago. Thank you!

As you were not in that employment they at  5April  2022 they are not required to give you a P60.

Do you have a copy of  your  P45 when you left?

Is the figure pre populated for the pension the amount paid since  December 21 or  does it include your pay and tax from your employment up to December 21.

It is pay and tax from employment up to December 21. So I have the P45 and I am working on the tax return - thanks again.

I get a P60 not worked for some years  but get a p60 as i have a company pension
But the company that  OP left in December is not required to give him a P60.

The pension company will give him a P60 as that is who is paying him at 5 April.
