Bankruptcy/ help to buy

Hi I am 5 years into my bankruptcy with a good credit score. I earn 40k a year. My partner also earns about the same but he has missed payments so I would guess a poor credit score. We are in the catch 22 situation with regards to buying a property. We currently rent at £1100pcm and never missed a payment. Due to my partners score and debts its unlikely we would get a joint mortgage and I on my own would not get enough for to meet our needs.
Has anyone managed a shared ownership in a sole named mortgage? Even though we are in a partnership I think its our only option.

Consult a mortgage advisor.
The banks look deeper than just the credit scores, they also look at affordability etc.
