in Cutting tax
Hi
So I am getting so confused about this eis tax relief thing..
I have invested into several start ups and was finally getting round to do the eis thing. I read that you had to do salf assesmmnents so I signed up to do that. Then I seen you can just print off the form from each compaie tax documents they send you..
I think I screwed up in that I sent for a self assessment account.
Please help. I really don't understand all of this stuff.

You do need to complete a tax return to claim EIS relief:

But I read I just need to submit the forms they attached to the tax documents page on seedrs.

I don't think an SA return is always needed,

But now you've gone down that route it might be simplest to complete the return(s) rather than argue about whether a return is necessary.0 -
You won't get a code changed in arrears, and OP's post talking about "finally getting round to" isn't compatible with investments made since 6 April 2022, and as you say, once registered, it is simpler to complete it than argue why it isn't necessary.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:I don't think an SA return is always needed,
