Ultimately, people can tell you what they would do in your position, they can't tell you what you should do though - because at the end of the day only you can make that decision.

It sounds from what you've said that you have managed to reduce the grocery spend now - I feed two adults on £200 a month or thereabouts - so you should be able to make at least some form of saving on the figure you've stated.

It also sounds like perhaps you need to return to your GP to discuss your MH situation - from the treads you've posted it seems as though there is a tendancy to come up with spur-of-the-moment ideas which seem good in the moment, but less so as time rolls on - would that be a fair way to look at it? if so then it may be that a medication tweak might help things at least a little.

Did you explore whether you might be entitled to anything more in the way of benefits, or if there are any cheaper ways of getting to/from work?

Have you contacted the course provider with proof of your current state of health and asked them again whether they can cancel your enrolment and not charge you?

Try not to worry about the things being said on here about CCJ's - if you can just make a token payment to each of your debts then that would be unlikely to happen as (I think) Sourcrates explained.

This is the really sad thing - in May,  I told the course provider, UMD Professional, that I needed to withdraw as I was suicidal and they charged me £60 to defer for 3 months but the payments would continue during that time.

I will never study with them again. I found that really sad.

If you read back through the posts, OP states that she's made no payments at all for months. It may be unwise to allow her to think this wont have further implications when we just don't know at what stage collections are. Even just £1 a month would stall that process while she decides what to do.

Right I've read the previous threads and note a number of suggestions have been put forward but it doesn't seem this is what OP is looking for as a solution?

One person found savings of around £170 in the expenditure, another found savings of at least  £150 could be made just from groceries alone and someone else used a mortgage calculator which worked out a review and better deal could potentially save another £200.

That's a total of £520 in possible savings identified so far.

People trying to put the fear of god into someone who has already explained that they are suffering from various MH conditions including severe anxiety is at worst unhelpful and at best downright cruel - hence myself and others adding some honest and truthful balance.
