Working From Home - Can I Claim?

Hello everyone,
Back in 2014 I started working from home following a company restructure.
During the transition I wasn’t informed that I could/should change my tax code in light of my new circumstances. I continued to work from home for the company until I left in late June 2021. I am now self employed, still working from home.
My question is, have I got a case for contacting HMRC and claiming any money back for those 7.5 years? I have official evidence of the move to home working.
If I do, in full or in part, how would I go about doing so and what evidence would I need to provide?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

You cam claim backdated up to 4 years.
For the basic WFH allowance worth £1.20pw, no evidence is required. Above that, you'll need documentary evidence of the expenditure incurred. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
There are criteria to be eligible to claim:-
Who cannot claim tax relief
You cannot claim tax relief if you choose to work from home. This includes if:
- your employment contract lets you work from home some or all of the time
- you work from home because of COVID-19
- your employer has an office, but you cannot go there sometimes because it’s full
