Borrowing more on the mortgage in probation period

Myself and my wife are looking to move and will need to borrow an extra 50-60k on out santander mortgage. We can more than afford the move and have savings but I am still in a probationary period at work although a different sector of the nhs where I have been for the past 26 years (move from hospital to gp practice) and my wife has been in her employment for the past 15 years. Can anyone see any problems with this or have any of their own experiences? cheers 🍻

@enzolondon1 Based on the limited info in your post, as long as you are on a permanent contract, there should be issues arising from being on probation.

    Edit: Shouldn't not should!

Thanks. Our FA wasn't sure if it would be an issue and we were told it may just be a case of applying and seeing. My contract is for permanent employment but I am obviously just still in a 6 month probation period. Hopefully this will all be OK

Sorry my initial post was meant to say "shouldn't be issues"! Think it got auto-corrected
