Old Honey jars with misty honey left

I've got lots of old honey jars with that not clear anymore honey left in them. Can I still eat the (now misty honey)? Also, bit worried about washing it down the drain because it clogg my pipes, how do I wash it out for recycling?

You can eat it. If you want to make it clear again, just heat it a little in a microwave or in hot water.You can wash it down in your sink if you wish - it's perfectly water-soluble.2

As above, no problem flushing it down the sink - though that seems a bit of a waste in my view. And yes, gently warming it will get rid of any crystals that have formed.Honey is something of an unusual thing, in that it never goes off. It'll tend to crystallise over time, but it never goes off, you can eat it even if it's years old.5

They print use-by dates because they are required, but as above, it never goes off.1

Op could use it to help heal cuts and scratches. It's a natural antibiotic and anti fungal.
