PAYE to Self employed

Hi,

I have been self employed on the CIS scheme for years, I have recently worked as a PAYE employee for two months but have decided to go back to self employed.

Do I need to notify HMRC or change anything? Or would it just be a case of payments going through CIS scheme as I still have my UTR?

Thanks

Would you say your business ended and you are starting a new one or did you just do some other work for s short period expecting to do more CIS work later?

No I never cancelled my self employment as such. But the company I was working for would have notified hmrc I’m guessing

True but HMRC being notified you have started a new (PAYE) employment wouldn't mean they assume your self employment had ended.

If you haven't told HMRC yet then it doesn't seem necessary now you know you are continuing.

just fill in your SA as usual next year - the PAYE bit will show on your personal tax account and can be included.
