What are the best value-for-money multivitamins?

Going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment & realised need to start taking more care of myself, both mentally and physically
Recently had blood donation refused (first time in 46 years!) because I was anaemic, which was wake up call. Have been to GP and blood test there showed nil of note
I thought that a good place to start would be to take a multivitamin daily as I'm currently on a soft food diet for a couple of weeks after undergoing extensive oral surgery
However, a trip to the shops has left me rather perplexed by the wide range on offer!
Just wondering if:
a) the big brands are worth the extra cost or if the supermarket/pharmacy own brands are equally as good?
b) is a daily multivitamin sufficient? Should I be adding Cod Liver Oil etc?
Would appreciate some informal guidance (not medical advice) about what is effective and if the more expensive brands are worth it in the long run?
I am a 64 year woman, on a budget, who needs to get her mojo back!
Many thanks Christianne

I remember Which did a big article a few years ago and the results were that the cheapest supermarket multivitamins were just as good as the big brands which can be very expensive.0

I recently had surgery and was advised that any of the major supermarkets own brand was fine. I am using Ts A-Z I think they were on offer at 3 for price of 2.0

Unless you have had a blood test, you don't know what other things that you are deficient in.Christianne1957 said:
