Once you have paid off your debt, continue to live the same lifestyle and pay off that mortgage, then you will be both debt free and mortgage free.  I have been both for over 8 years and it's the best feeling in the world.

I have 6 months life happens fund and 6 months emergency fund - now I can go on holiday and do whatever I want without worrying about money.

To get out of this position. You should make a monthly budget plan. Don't waste money unnecessarily, and consider taking on a part-time job to boost your income. Don't be concerned about your current situation; with proper planning, you can easily overcome it.

I've made some immediate changes, cancelled stuff I don't really need, only small stuff like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. 

One of my bad habits I've developed since lockdown was being too quick to order stuff to be delivered, beers, takeaways, shopping. That can be stopped as well.
