stepchange debt charity live chat Help

Has anyone else who has used stepchange debt charity, found that they were able to use the live chat service online when they were first applying but then that was no longer available, as I found this a really quick and easy way to get through to them, I am not the best on the phone and emailing just seems to take too long, I will phone if need to but just really like this live chat service, anyone else know how i can use this again? Any info would be amazing

My knowledge of their internal practices is somewhat out of date but it used to be the case that the live chat facility was for general queries and general advice. This is because the advisers on live chat use scripted responses in order to ensure fast, consistent replies to general questions. Once a client is at the point of receiving additional support through a DMP or other managed solution, they will be dealt with by specialist advisers dealing only with managed solution clients, who tend to have more specific queries and needs.
While live chat probably won't be available to you if you're a DMP or other managed solution client, you should be able to get the email address of a named adviser and use that as your point of contact but you need to be aware that each adviser will have numerous clients and so their responses won't be immediate.0
