We pay £30 something for our Costco card.  I think we break about even, make a few savings on Toilet Roll, Kitchen roll, dishwasher salt, washing powder, conditioner.  There are a few items that are consistently cheaper, albeit you have to buy in bulk.

    Kind Regards,

I have Costco premium membership because I spend quite a lot at Costco. The discounted premium fuel is enough of a saving but then you get other perks too, like the hot buys, sometimes very heavily discounted clearance goods (leather and shearling boots for £3.97 for example). Kirkland products are very good quality, the toilet paper is much cheaper than buying in the supermarket for superior quality and you can get American items that you just can't get here easily.

At the end of the year I get cashback on all my purchases and so far I have made more cashback than the premium membership cost, so my membership is basically 'free'.

If you are on a tight budget, however, and need to keep spend to the bare minimum, AVOID Costco if possible.   There are too many 'bargains' and cool things and you go in with the intent of spending a few pounds on essentials and leave at east £200 lighter.

I have an online Costco card, which cost me £15. Delivery is usually free except for groceries, where it's 5.99 with no minimum order. I bought a tower fan in 2020 and saved £40 on the Amazon price and bought same in 2021 as it hadn't gone up. So £80 saved covered the £30 membership over two years. I buy trays of organic tinned tomatoes and they are around 50% cheaper than Amazon. I buy 1.5 L bottles of organic olive oil too, not available in supermarkets. Costco is good for big bags of organic nuts, when they are in stock.
