Dear all
About 20 years ago. I was in education and did not contribute to my NI for state pension. I have seen Martin article about adding state pension. Could I add my contribution so I could get the maximum state pension later ? Thanks

You can currently fill gaps back to 2006-07, whether anything pre 2016 will add to the pension depends on personal circumstances. What exactly does your forecast show ?"In education" 20 years ago likely puts you in your 40s so probably plenty of time to get the full amount.0

Have you obtained a state pension forecast recently? Given you are coming up for 60, it should be reasonably easy to work out whether it would be to your advantage to 'fill the gaps'.pantaiema said:Dear allAbout 20 years ago. Given you are coming up for 60,
But is he?
If he was in education twenty years ago, he is more likely to be in late thirties/early forties?
