We are going to the RDS at the weekend to see WWE and were wondering where is cheap to stay down there that has parking facilities? If possible we would like to stay on a B&B basis. Any suggestions?

    Hi Jo,

    Give this a go:

I've been in Dublin so many times over the past year but always kip on someone's floor! I'm sure someone on the site can give you plenty of recommendations.

herbert park hotel (http://www.herbertparkhotel.ie) stayed there on a number of occassions and always very very good - try them for a deal but they are normally relatively expensive though aren't all Dublin hotels.

Booked Bewleys hotel which is a 2 minute walk from the RDS and has a private car park. It costs 99 euros for the room, 8.95 euros each for a full Irish breakfast and 6.35 for car parking. Total cost 123.25, approximately £87.50!! I am delighted. THANKS FOR RESPONDING AND FOR ALL YOUR HELP! :j :money:

We had a fantastic time. The hotel was clean. The room was fine it had some sky channels, free internet access if you had your computer with you, iron & ironing board, ensuite had a bath with a shower over it, towels were provided, Dove hand wash was also provided. There was no bath/shower creme provided. There was a bottle of water on the table in the room and there was a little piece of card beside which said if you wanted the bottle of water you had to pay 2 euors for it at reception.

Full Irish breakfast was orange juice, 5 piece fry (mushrooms, sausages, beans, bacon, pudding, scrambled egg, fried egg), tea or coffee, toast or home made bread (a slice of wheaten bread or a plain scone (no fruit, treacle, cherry or wheaten scones ...) or a croissant or a danish pastry).

HTH someone thinking of going to the RDS.
