Morrisons has increased the cost of its meal deal by 50p from £3 to £3.50, making it the fourth major retailer to up prices this year.

    You may need to update the article. I am pretty sure that this week the Co-op has increased their meal deal again and it is now £4.00, up from the £3.75 increase in February which was up from £3.50 before that. My local co-op is run by Central England Co-op but they generally follow Co-op Group deal prices much of the time.

    It's worth noting that Lidl's lunch range offers a variety of good value sandwiches, salads and sushi that provides for a three-item lunch for well under £3.    I believe Aldi has a similar range/prices.   In Lidl, you can also get your "snack" item from the in-store bakery, if the store has one.

    Just because the big retailers offer a bundle, it doesn't necessarily mean that the bundle is always the best value.
