NatWest One alternative (offset mortgage)

I'm 55 this year and have had a NatWest One mortgage for 23 years (due to end in 2024).
This is an offset style mortgage which is basically just a bank account with a large overdraft.
I still have a facility that allows me to go "overdrawn" up to the original amount I borrowed.
I like the flexibility of this for a few reasons:
1. I work to fixed lengths contracts so sometimes have periods of no income in between contracts (so effectively my overdraft is reducing when in work and increasing when out)
2. It allows me to make larger purchases without having to bother about arranging a loan, eg I have paid for cars and loads of building work through this.
I don't predict that I will pay off the current balance by the end of the mortgage (I could just about do it but was planning yet more building work)
I therefore need to find a replacement.
Are there any lenders out there offering anything similar?

  • First Direct, offered me 14 yr term (I'm a few years younger). Have NatWest stopped this product, could you just apply for another with them?
