Things are really heating up!

Government has got to act and remove VAT and surcharges which cannot be justified in the current crisis. There seems to be little in the way of action from Kwarteng, he's just a rabbit in the headlights.0

There are a couple if threads already for this, but, your title is not accurate anyway.
Energy cap now set to ~£2800
Energy cap hasn't yet changed, so is not now £2800.
And even when it does next change, in October, the value of £2800 is still a warning/speculation, not the definite figure.

It's the closest thing we have to it being confirmed at being another 40% increase. Would be wise if everyone starts to plan with that figure in mind although it's still shocking even if it comes in lower.
