Moving from a Band3 NHS admin role to a Band 4 post

I am moving from a Band 3 NHS admin role to a Band 4 role, I have 13 years experience inn my current role, will I start on the bottom point of a band 4 role, I cannot find any NHS pay scales charts. Years ago there was a spine chart and as I recall, if you went up a band you went over and then up one pay grade.
Should I ask to go up a few points with my 13 years experience.
Also is there as many steps up the bands levels of progression and pay

Depends what was agreed when you were offered the promotion - or possibly nothing yet. Perhaps you need to talk to the person handling this for your employer and do a bit of negotiating if you have particularly good/relevant experience?

Googling on NHS pay scales took me here, which you may or may not have spotted: https://www.nhsemployers.org/articles/pay-scale-material-202223
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Hi, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your promotion/upgrade. You probably will start on the bottom of the scale but it's an increase from the top of Grade 3, as per the information in the link provided by marcon, above.

You can also double-check with your HR department, they are always happy to help (in my experience anyway - I worked for the NHS for more than 20 years, now happily retired but also self-employed - just can't seem to stop working!   :)
