Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and sun shining with a clear sky. Wash load in the WM as we speak, hopefully it'll get line dried once it's done.
DH watching catchup tv, and DS1 still in his pit, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish and rice for DH and I had veg stir fry - made up from bits that needed using up in the fridge - was very tasty. Dinner will be indian takeaway from SM.
Keep safe and well x

Morning and thanks for starting us off nmlc.My drive home yesterday was very slow, lots of people driving at 30mph on our 60mph road and few chances to get past. Even doing 30mph one or two were braking going round even the slightest bend. Very frustrating but I'm safe.My exertions on Thursday have left an impression, I've pulled / strained a muscle in my lower back and top of my thigh which is giving me a great deal of pain and difficulty when trying to walk. My trip to the bathroom just now was excruciating and I struggled to get back into bed. 🙁 I may just stay here and rest today.Whilst I was away my gardener came, she's weeded a large part of the back garden which is looking lovely. Plants are flowering, the potatoes tops are peeking over the top of the bags, now all that's needed is some heavy doses of sunshine.Tomorrow will be the first anniversary of my beloved DM's death, time has flown by, so I'll be spending the day quietly reflecting on her. I'll light a candle, pour a glass of her favourite champagne and toast her life. For now I'll be resting until the analgesics kick in, then I don't know, 😀 whatever it is I'll be gentle to myself.Hugs to our poorlies and those struggling. Happy Saturday to everyone.11

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a fine start here, yesterday was cloudy, but it didn't actually rain.Gers, sorry to hear you're in so much pain, hope the painkillers give some relief. A year since you Mum died, it's gone so quickly.Snoozer, hope you're ok, that bump in the car must have given you a bit of a shock - at least you've got dash cam evidence.Coxy, hope your son is ok now, my three children all did this as teens, and had horrendous hangovers, I've done it myself as a teen. He'll learn!!DH has a terrible cold, he was definitely under the weather yesterday, and I heard him coughing during the night. Don't think he'll be doing much today.I'll just be pottering probably. I've got a couple of little sewing alterations that I should get on with, and I need some potatoes and eggs so will nip to the shops later.Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our poorly people. Take care folks.11

Rained all day yesterday hope today is going to be a bit brighter.
Gers hope a day of sloth today will help your aches and pains. Thinking about you for tomorrow can't believe its been a year
Up early this morning to get a beef in red wine in the slow cooker. Lots of veg in it so as I’m so slow chopping now needed to be started early doors! Hopefully this should do quite a few meals. Plan is to have it tonight with some mash. Coffee first then I'll make a start
Nothing much achieved yesterday due to zero energy for some reason. Need to make up for it today. Same old dull stuff to do ….dishwasher, kitchen clean up and bin runs.
Have the usual Chat with my age Uk friend then probably collapsing on the couch again.
Have a good day all

Morning All
Sunny and bright this morning but there are showers forecast. It was lovely yesterday until about 3pm then it rained quite heavily.
Your log burner looks lovely Izzy, you'll be lovely and cozy in the winter.
Hope your aches and pains go away Gers.
How's your DS's head this morning Coxy? Teenagers, eh!
What a shock Snoozer, hope you're OK.
I'm going shopping with DD and the little one this morning, DD is looking for a dress to wear to a wedding next month. I'll try not to get bored, shopping really isn't my thing but the little one will keep me entertained I'm sure.
Hope everyone's well, have a good weekend. Take care.XX

Good morning
Back from a week in the sun 🌞 the weather & hotel were lovely, the airports were horrendous 😐
All the washing is done & dried just the dreaded ironing to do.
I'm going to spend the day in the garden, I've lost some plants but all the weeds have survived 🙄
I hope you feel better soon Gers, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, the last and probably hardest of the firsts ❤
Thinking of all the sad & poorly 🌻7 -
Morning everyone,
Dry and bright start here in Kent. I'm off to FC soon. Not sure I'll get a loss this week as it's been 'star' week(!) but we shall see... The haddock and prawn traybake was lovely and tasty last night. Love it when a 'bung it all in one tray' meal happens and is tasty too.
DH is going to continue with sanding the hallway/bedroom doors today, so lots of mess. We are at DS1s tomorrow to help him with a garden project. It's all go. DS2 fully recovered and suitably contrite! We've booked a short break to Jackie's beloved IOW for two weeks time for our silver anniversary. Did want to go to Florence but flights are astronomical and at really rubbish times. Florence can wait! We've booked a nice hotel in Sandown. Neither of us have been since our yr6 school journeys. We didn't take the children as they too went for their school journeys. Will be nice to have some time away just us two.
Thinking of you Gers - can't believe it's a year already since your DMum died x
That meal sounds lovely Nels – enjoyHow awful for you snoozer and thank goodness for dashcams. Hope you’re not too shaken up.
Hope you had fun at the Greek meze RosyRed
Thanks for the Iceland tip Jackie – I’ll let DMum know
Happy first fire in your new log burner Izzy!
Sending get well wishes to Scarlet's DH, Gers and anyone else in need.
Coxy

Morning everyone
Had a nice chat with eldest DD before I got up this morning...she's excited as she's booked flights to Bali for September.
Little one came up for her tea yesterday - we had a play outside but it was quite windy so after tea we cosied up and read stories till DD picked her up.
From about 7pm it poured down - dry again this morning but still quite breezy.
I need to go into town this morning - I got a good deal from Sky but can't get the old Sim card out of my phone - so I'll go to the phone repair shop and need a couple of things in Home Bargains. Then little one is going to come up for a few hours while DD goes to the gym - I'm encouraging her to go as it's the only break she's getting from little one. She's only going to be going to nursery for 2 hours three times a week now as they all need to be trained to do finger !!!!!! tests for her blood sugars before she's allowed to go back for full days. DD was saying the training might take a little while to arrange.
Going to get moving and do a few jobs.
Gers - thinking of you on your mum's anniversary x
have a good day everyone
Edited to says oops I didn't think twice about writing the word after finger!10 -
Hi everyone,
Gers, like the others I can hardly believe it's been a year, take care of yourself.
Izzy, enjoy the logburner.
I'm fine, I was a bit achey yesterday but nothing to write home about. The car isn't too bad either although I was sure from the bump that it would be more crumpled than it was. Steve spent yesterday taking the footage off the sim card and sending it and other things to the insurance company.
Chris and Crystal got back last night so we don't have to cat sit any more.
Poor Laura had a stomach bug yesterday so I hope she doesn't pass it on to anyone else, Esben seems full of beans this morning so hopefully he will be fine.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here today which is nice after yesterdays rain, I have a towel wash on and it can be hung out today. OH needs to go and collect the shopping today which doesnt take long and once its put away we will go out for a nice long walk, might pack some lunch to take wth us.
OH is going out tonight with a mate they are cycling to a pub for a few pints then cycling home, Ive told him not to be to late as he has no lights so he sais he will just have a couple, dd is out too so I will have the evening to myself bliss !
