Hi, My employer ( the local council ) made me work from home for the last 2 years because of covid. I have not claimed for either year. I do have a rental property which I fill a self assessment tax form in for. I would like to know how to claim my working from home tax relief, for both years. Thanks for your help in advance.

Add it to your self assessment. The COVID easement was for years 2020/21 and 21/22 only"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1

Thanks for your prompt reply, I noticed a space for working from home on my self assessment form. It won’t be until January that I will be filling that form in again, hopefully I remember to do it.Will I be able to claim for both years. Cheers0

Not on one return no.
You need to amend your 2020:21 return if you want to claim relief for that tax year.1 -
I meant to say I never saw a space on the tax form.0
