Hi
do these comps require all boxes to be ticked - as all seem to refer to terms and conditions.
do these comps require all boxes to be ticked - as all seem to refer to terms and conditions.
Do they elicit huge amounts of spam as a result?

I usually tick the first 2 boxes, and not the third, and can't say that I've noticed a great increase in spam. Hurst Media send a newsletter about once or twice a week, mainly about the competitions they're running.
A full list of T&C is here -

Good luck!0 -
You should only need to tick one of the three
- I agree to the competition terms and conditions, including eligibility and publicity agreements.
You should NOT need to tick the following two, which I would imagine would open you up to being contacted by all sorts of marketing and companies.- I agree to the competition terms and conditions, including to being contacted by Hurst Media Company, or selected third parties by electronic means, telephone or post with information about goods or services that we feel may be of interest to you.
- I agree to be contacted by the competition provider for marketing purposes.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.1 -
Thanks both
