MysteryMe said:You don't have to buy in bulk though, I've never bought more than one bag of potatoes as that is all I need. The fact three bags may save 50p or whatever is irrelevant as buying food that is subsequently not eaten is not saving money. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
I did an Iceland order, which is arriving tomorrow. I got the 3 Essentials for 3p offer three times, on black pudding slices, on Brunswick canned sardines and on fresh corned beef slices - all things I would usually buy.
Capri-Sun 8 packs 2 for £4 in all the flavours Iceland stocks is 32 packs for £8. No artificial anything and 4.9g carbs per pouch. My husband is loving them, fresh out of his car's 12v cooler. Bought him 3 Starbucks Lactose Free Skinny Lattes for £3 as well.
I won't bulk buy on new items in case we don't like them, so only bought one pack of salt and chilli pork belly slices, instead of 3 for £9.
It's really only Ocado and Iceland which have a lot of offers. I save around £11-£14 per order. I would be lucky to save £3 in Sainsbury's.0 -
Yes I have decided to give Iceland a visit Tuesday....trying to buy what I would normally plus try out there butter spread which sounds like kerygold.
I also will look at fish - have had seabass in past from there and very good. Any one advise if there is a over sixites stamped0 -
Well I did an Iceland shop on Tuesday - spent some time looking at the offers online and writing list....but online and stores differ - plus my store had never ever had heard of Golden Cow easyspread butter, even went and found a staff member who usually works in another store and she had never heard of it.

I alway buy their sachet Nescafe coffee with milk and suger. Everywhere else its 8 sachets for £1. In Iceland it 16 sachets for £1.50. I also like most of their fozen selction. Veg is rubbish and expensive. Milk and bread and tinned stuff is more expensive than the gerenric brands in the supernmakets.

Personally, not a fan of most of Iceland food, however they are excellent for frozen fish; eg cod fillets, haddock fillets; also their cheese is quite good. Sometimes also have an offer on some normal items.Only gripe I have with them is a principle - they say "free deliver over £40" which is fine however charge 80p per delivery for bags, whether they use any or not or irrespective of how many; so in other words they charge 80p for delivery - no issue with that but why not just charge it and not say "free" then impose a compulsary 80p so it isn't "free"??1

Speaking of trolley, is everyone aware that they’re doing a desperate fundraiser so they don’t have to close. 3 days left if anyone wants to donate. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1
