Aldi sewing machine - any good?

My wife wants a sewing machine for Christmas ( )
She has only just developed an interest so the machine is for a beginner.

Ms Schamansky has one (bought last year) and likes it very much.

If you decide you want one, better arrive when the store opens. Previous batches of Aldi's sowing machines went in the first half hour, as employees told me.

The strange thing is the machine is available instore now despite the website saying 20th December!

I'll pick one up tomorrow!

My mum bought one about 6 months ago, and she is very pleased with it. I have used it a couple of times and think it is excellent value for money, just as good if not better than branded models.
