Iceland 10% off for over 60's

Options
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/iceland-offer-special-new-discount-27004080

To summarise - 10% off in store for over 60's, only on Tuesdays, starts next Tuesday, bring proof of age.

I was tempted to add this to the long thread about how discriminated elderly people who refuse to use smartphones are, but I decided that was a bit mean spirited! Enjoy your discount, old folks. I hope they're still running it in 24 years when I'll be eligible.

May I respectfully point out that 60 is NOT OLD  :D

I am 70 in just over 100 days and I still feel young.

This is superb advice, the great thing with the bonus card is it can be used at the same time as all other discounts, such as this 10% off for over 60's, or special offer codes online, or vouchers in newspapers. I think technically it would be a 14.3% discount or something as the bonus card offers 5% free top-up not 5% off, but it's still definitely worth it. I'm a fan.

They regularly run double bonus or even triple bonus top-up events for the bonus card which are worth keeping an eye out for (especially if done in conjunction with an interest free credit card too, I've got over £700 on my bonus card currently!!)

Having children is a lifestyle choice, getting old is not
So Farway is correct - BUT.......

I am a very well off baby boomer - I am old and could benefit from the discount.  And would if I was an extended family member.... maybe that is the secret - use your grandparents!

Not all baby boomers are rich - so understand that.  Applaud Iceland's ethics but also maybe Iceland could offer via a registration on Facebook or other discounts for families - maybe the fee is collecting their spending data....

I find that comment to be a bit harsh. It's not a lifestyle choice for any child to be starving.
