Santander Timelines

We applied for a mortgage with Santander around mid-Feb and we are still waiting to hear back - it’s been more than 3 months. Has anyone had a similar experience? What is the timeline usually like? Thanks!

You could try contacting them? 3 months without any communication doesn’t sound right.

@zarak12345 These are their current average service levels.

3 months is way too long to wait to hear back. Do chase with your broker or Santander (if direct) to understand what the issue is.

I’m in a similar boat. Full application went in March 22nd. They rejected it on April 14th, my MB challenged it and they’ve kept coming back for 3 weeks asking for more documents. Sent the last of them to Santander on Friday 13th May. Now waiting to hear.

I’ve phoned them directly this Tuesday just gone and apparently it’s with their head office… I’m not what this means or whether it’s a good or bad thing.

3 months without hearing anything though doesn’t sound right. I’d speak to your broker or call them directly.
