NHS DBS COUNTERSIGNING

I was wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with the NHS recruitment -
basically I have received and offer and I have done all the checks etc and now my Convictions are showing - awaiting countersigning - it’s been stuck on this for a few days now, HR (NHS) are saying they can’t chase it up as it’s left them and DBS are saying they don’t have my application which is frustrating as my contract at my current job is up in July and know how long the checks take. I did apply for the update service a couple of years ago but changed my card and of course they didn’t take the payment for the year and so have to re-do the DBS arrrgh!

I believe TRAC countersign the DBS but I’ve been told there is no way of contacting them.

I once had an offer via trac jobs.
Last September, the enhanced DBS was back in a week. I couldn't believe how bad the process.
Turned out the HR department hadn't chased references as quick at all - and what ultimately was the hold up. My boss who I was departing kept saying saying well I haven't had a reference request though, are you sure you have a job and to be honest he was 100% correct...
