Price cap isn't capped

Is it just me?, or have other people looked at ofgems website and noticed that the price cap for electric doesn't apply to all and has stipulations, eon next have tarrifs way above the cap with a standing charge of 50p when I thought it should be 45p for example, not to mention the day rate for economy 7 users at least 32.55 p, so way is this aloud to happen, I Feel yet again people who are all electric are being penalized, plus other situations like pre payment customers and I don't agree that the green tarrifs are exempt, especially when I have been moved without choice from eon to eon next and they say it's all green energy!?, I'm not getting any clear reasons behind this, I'm waiting to hear back from ofgem to explain.

The price cap only applies to a company's standard variable tariff, and the cap varies depending on where you live and what payment method is used.
What exactly do you want OFGEM to explain?2 -
Welcome to the forum.Did you read the sticky on the Energy forum's home page? However some companies don't qualify because they're only greenwashing.0

Did you check Ofgem's website?
"if you're on a default energy tariff - your supplier's standard variable offer - Ofgem sets a cap on your rates"
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/check-if-energy-price-cap-affects-you
Incidentally we are electric-only as well, and currently our supplier's standard variable tariff is their cheapest tariff - like most suppliers, now. Electric has always been more expensive than gas, so while our costs feel outrageous compared with households that use gas, they always have been and we are not being specifically penalised any more so right now than we were before.1
